Commencement at CI

Dear Degree Candidate:

Congratulations on reaching this momentous occasion in your college education! We know that you have worked hard to earn your degree and we are proud to be a part of that experience.

In order to accommodate all of our graduating students and their family, friends and guests, CI's 2014 Commencement will include two ceremonies on Saturday, May 17 in the South Quad.

The morning ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. and will only include the following academic programs for bachelor's or master's degrees:

Applied Physics Economics
Biology Environmental Science & Resource Management
Business Information Technology
Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Mathematics
Biotechnology/MBA (dual degree) Nursing
Chemistry Spanish
Communication
Computer Science

The afternoon ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. and will only include the following academic programs for bachelor's, master's or teaching credentials:

Anthropology History
Art Liberal Studies
Chicana/o Studies Performing Arts
Early Childhood Studies Political Science
Education Psychology
English Sociology

Grad Fest 2014

Grad Fest at CI

To help you prepare for Commencement, we have scheduled CI's Grad Fest 2014, to be held on Wednesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Grand Salon located in the North Quad. The Commencement ceremony at CSU Channel Islands is a candidate's ceremony and not a degree conferral ceremony. Participation in the ceremony does not guarantee degree certification. Candidates who are denied will receive notification by mail from the Records & Registration office. Denied candidates are required to reapply for graduation once all degree requirements are met.
